Pocket tins originated in England in 1810, and today they're back again being used for quite a few useful purposes.

* Top and sides: Enamelled metal on the lid with a white background and four sitting dogs looking towards the top of the lid. The top and sides have lovely gold foil leaves scattered neatly around the lid and sides.

* Bottom: The creamy white enamel continues smoothly across the bottom of the tin with designer Sara Miller's logo embossed in the centre.

INTERIOR:

* Underside of the lid has a soft brass-style finish.

* Sides and base of the tin also have a soft brass-style finish.
